De Paris, Avec Amour

March 25, 2026

There are cities you visit… and then there are cities that stay with you. Paris is firmly the latter.

From the moment we arrived, the energy felt cinematic—like we had stepped into a scene we somehow already knew by heart. And we didn’t ease into it… we dove in headfirst.

A First Night to Remember: The Seine at Sunset

We kicked off our Paris adventure with a dinner cruise along the Seine—and not just any seats… priority seating at the very front of the glass boat.

It was one of those “is this real life?” moments.

The Eiffel Tower sparkled in the distance as we floated past Paris’ most iconic landmarks, each one glowing against the night sky. Wine in hand, incredible food, and uninterrupted views… it set the tone for everything that followed.

If you’re going to do Paris, start like this.

Getting Lost (On Purpose) in History

Paris doesn’t just show you history—it surrounds you with it.

The Louvre was overwhelming in the best way… rooms upon rooms of art and culture that make you feel both small and inspired all at once.

Versailles? Pure opulence. Walking through the Hall of Mirrors felt like stepping into another century entirely.

And then there was the Arc de Triomphe…

We fully attempted to cross the traffic circle like it was a real-life game of Frogger (zero stars, do not recommend)… only to discover moments later there was, in fact, an underground pedestrian tunnel. Classic.

The Simple Joys: Coffee, Croissants & Slow Mornings

Some of the best parts of Paris weren’t planned at all.

Every morning started the same way: a small café, a flaky croissant, and strong coffee. No rushing. No agenda. Just soaking it all in.

It’s in those quiet moments—people watching on a narrow street, listening to the hum of the city waking up—where Paris really works its magic.

A City Best Explored in Motion

My favorite way to explore any city is with a morning jog—and Paris might be the best one yet.

Running along the Seine as the city wakes up, passing landmarks without crowds, catching the early light hit the Eiffel Tower… it’s a completely different version of the city.

One that feels like it’s just yours.

The Moment That Stopped Time

And then… one of those moments you could never plan.

We were sitting along the Seine, doing exactly what you’re supposed to do in Paris—baguette, a bottle of prosecco, Eiffel Tower perfectly framed in the background.

Next thing we know, a couple nearby is getting engaged.

And somehow… we became the videographers.

It was spontaneous, joyful, and honestly one of the most memorable experiences of the entire trip. There’s something about Paris—it just invites these moments in.

A Dream Realized: Roland Garros

To close out the trip, we made our way to Roland Garros.

For a tennis fan, this was everything.

The clay courts. The atmosphere. The history. It’s one of those places you grow up watching—and then suddenly you’re there, sitting courtside, taking it all in.

A true bucket list moment.

Final Thoughts: Why Paris Stays With You

Paris isn’t just about checking landmarks off a list.

It’s about how it makes you feel—
…wandering without a plan
…lingering over coffee
…stumbling into unforgettable moments

It’s romantic, yes—but not just in the obvious ways. It’s romantic in how it slows you down, pulls you in, and reminds you to experience a place, not just see it.

And that’s exactly why this trip is one we’ll keep with us
